Here is a black box with a red button on top.  Pressing the button will make another black box with red button materialize next to you.  The new box — as well as succeeding boxes — will not necessarily have the same properties as this box.

Rescue Them At Your Leisure

You find a box in the attic.

This box contains a museum exhibit.  An ancient parchment lies under glass.  An archaeological report included with the parchment tells that it was dug up from the Egyptian desert during the 1920’s and has been dated to approximately 300 BC.

The writing on the parchment is in modern English and requests that help be sent to a time travel team at the specified coordinates.  You cannot make sense of the numbers that follow.

School Spirit

In the Mansion, step out of the bedroom in which you are staying and go to the second room to the right on the same side of the hall.  Tap the first few bars of your high school fight song and open the door.

Pictures cover the walls from floor to ceiling.  The ceiling, too, wears its share of photographs.  They depict candid shots from your high school during your senior year.  You find many familiar scenes as well as disturbing events of which you have no memory.
